Lately we've been getting been getting a lot of questions about where to download the free version of Prosper202.
This is mainly because the free version is no longer available for download directly from our site.
Out of all the support questions we get about Prosper202, a large majority of them consist of installation related issues. Mainly from people trying to install Prosper202 for the first time. Due to the wide range of hosting configurations, there are instances where the hosting company the user chooses is not fully compatible with Prosper202. When this happens it creates a bad first experience.
In order to address this, we are experimenting with only making Prosper202 available via our official Prosper202 hosting partners and any host that has the Softaculous Auto Installer for Prosper202 available. Doing this means all installation issues are totally eliminated, and most users are able to go from zero to having Prosper202 live and ready to go in under 5 minutes.
We are working directly with Softaculous, BeyondHosting and Hostwinds to ensure they always have the most up to date version of Prosper202 available for installation. So when we release Prosper202 1.8.12 in the next few days you will be able to install it right away. Also, if you already have Prosper202 1.8.x installed, the latest version will be available via the 1-click upgrade.
What about if you don't want to host with any of the options currently available? We are setting something up to address this issue.
Additionally, if you generate $100+ a month in your business, your absolute best option is to upgrade to Prosper202 Pro. In addition to its extensive revenue enhancing features. It also comes with email, chat, and skype support (depending on your plan) for installation issues, plus we can also do the installation for you for a fee.
So for now you can't download Prosper202 directly from us any more, but we expect this minor change to do a lot to ensure new users go down the path that is more likely to help them past the major installation obstacle that usually prevents them from moving forward any further.
