I'm new to P202 and it seems like the tool I've been looking for ... but I ran into a problem and ran some tests.

I've now set up four campaigns, two using P202 & two using my old way of doing things (spreadsheets :( ). I'm direct linking and linking to an LP

Neither of my P202 campaigns are having the ads shown but the ads using the old way (non P202 links) are being shown. (all campaigns use ads and keywords known to work)

After this I set up a simple html page using the P202 link within href tags and clicked on it.

It worked. It logged the keyword but when I used the browser 'back' button, i was not taken back to my starting page. Instead I stayed on my AW merchants site.

This is against Googles T&C's if I remember.

Is it a problem unique to AWin with Adwords using P202 tracking?

Is there a way around this?

I assume you meant you're direct linking to the offer.

Should be in a .php file rather than .html file

The back button doesn't work because you have cloaking on. It processes through redirects to scrap the referrer from being passed on. The only simple way around this would be to set up a LP.

Sorry my bad. I set up two tests, one as a direct link and the other to an LP

So the other way is to turn cloaking off but this would reveal the actual KW's to the merchant?
