Hi Guys, got problems trying to get my Tracker API and Stats 202 App keys accepted inside my hosted version of Prosper. I followed the instructions to the letter although I'm probably missing one very obvious step or miss-reading something. I've tried just about every combination I can think of but no success so far including a completely clean install of Prosper on my hosting account.

If I put just the API key in on it's own I get sent to the following error page:

Unknown column 'user_api_key' in 'field list'

UPDATE `202_users` SET `user_api_key`='my API key was in here which matched what was supplied in my account at your end' WHERE `user_id`='1'

Then if I try to put both keys in I get this come up in the App Key box:

This Tracking202 API Key & Stats202 App Key combination appears invalid.

The only other thing I can think of is I'm on Hostgator so had to use the patch to complete the initial installation of Prosper, really don't know if this would cause any problems but it might help you narrow things down a little.

can you try entering in the developer key first, then after that's entered put in the stats202 api key.

Hi T202Nana, that's pretty much how I did it in the first place, did give it another go but no luck, still getting the Unknown column 'user_api_key' in 'field list' error page when I put in the API Key.

Hi there, all sorted now. Bit the bullet and moved over to Bluehost (from Hostagtor) and everything went fine, just a couple of notes I wanted to add in just in case anyone else has the same problems and comes across this post so it might help.

Possible causes (these are only suggestions, not hard fact):

I was having trouble with Filezilla and kept having to shut it down and re-open, only trouble was I was losing the list of files in the 'failed transfers' queue, the problem was occurring on both Bluehost and Hostgator servers but it wasn't until I moved to Bluehost I realised the potential fault that I might be missing a couple of files.

The patch for running Prosper 202 (v1.3) on Hostgator works fine as far as I can see with regards to Prosper, not too sure if it's causing problems though once you want to start using Stats202 and need to start putting keys into the system. Might need someone elses input there.

More than likely it was just the host though.

I have hosting with HostGator and had the same problem. I found this internet post and it worked for me:

"for some reason your upgrade did not work correctly."

Run this query in your mysql database

1) open up phpmyadmin

2) click on your prosper202 database

3) hit the SQL button, and in the textarea type this query: ALTER TABLE `202_users` ADD `user_api_key` VARCHAR( 255 ) NOT NULL AFTER `user_pass_time` ;

4) After you do that query, run this one too: ALTER TABLE `202_users` ADD `user_stats202_app_key` VARCHAR( 255 ) NOT NULL AFTER `user_api_key` ;

5) see if you can insert your api key now.
