Tracking202 Pro Super Pixel issue ( At least I think )

Something does not seem to be working right. My guess is it's on my end.

I have almost all organic search traffick. I use the normal JS code below on my landing pages

On the ThankYou page I have the Tracking202 Pro Super Pixel code below.

Every visitor that comes in shows just fine in the "Recent Visitors" section but when I look at the "Recent Conversions" area only one sale of about 200 have shown up.

I use no other Traffic 202 scripts besides the first JS on on landing pages and the 2nd JS listed for the ThankYou page.

Some things I think might be causing the issue.

1. Users create an account on a separate domain and after they make the purchase they are then sent to a thankyou page on that domain. This is not the original domain they went to through the organic search. From all the reading I have done this should not matter but maybe it does.

This affiliate does not allow for sub-id tracking as of yet. I have verified that the Pro Super Pixel is the correct one placed on the site.

I find it a little odd that one organic sale was tracked but zero others out of a few hundred. The sale that was tracked came in from a Yahoo organic listing.

Any ideas, thoughts, or input would really help me out.

The only thing I can think of is trying to place the JS code and the pixel on the same domain. Why don't you give this a shot and see if it works.

Thanks for the idea. I'm an affiliate so the Super Pixel has to go on the affiliates website.

It's kind of weird that one sale shows up and no others. Something went through correctly once. I'll spend a few more hours on the issue.

If anyone else has any ideas I'm all ears.

Should anything else be needed on the thankyou page besides the pixel.

for instance is there any reason to place the <script type="text/javascript" src="//sp1.tracking202.com/lp/removedID"></script> code on the thankyou page as well. from the documentation I am guessing no. If there were a sales funnel setup I could see it being used but I do not believe tracking 202 can be used for that purpose

Would it posibly help to have the pixel script right below the </head> and above the <body>

I ask because after testing another 20 sales one other sale managed to get tracked.

This leads me to believe that the code is trying to work but something else may be cutting it off from running.

I also have the source code for the thankyou page if any of you would like to take a look at it.

There is a live chat software program that is integrated on page and I think this may be causing the issue. Just an educated guess mind you.

I'm gonna run it by some of our coders and see if we can figure out a solution, but not sure what the problem is. Hopefully we can figure it out.

UPDATE:

So I removed the adbrite tracking because I no longer use it and I moved the pixel code up on the page.

It looks like the tracking is now working. My guess is there were too many things going on and something else was overriding the JS script.

The only problem with all this is I still do not see what keyword triggered the sale. As stated before most of my sales come in from organic listings. I thought that by having the normal tracking code on the home page and the super pixel on the thank you page the searched keyword would show up next to the sale. This does not seem to be happening. The sales are now recorded but I already know when I made a sale. I need to track the keyword that made that sale.

Any suggestions on this. As stated before I can not use Sub Id's so I had to go with the super pixel.

Thanks for all the help and ideas so far. At least in the future you may be able to tell others to move the JS under the </head> if it is not working for them.

It should work. As long as the JS code fires, then T202pro should show your referral and the searched keyword. I'll talk to Alex and Wes about it.
