Post subject: Tracking 202 Can't Track Conversion Keywords
|
|
1. I tried for two weeks now, I did see there's 10 conversion on that keyword, but when i clicked in, the conversion numbers are gone, it will just show 0. So there's no point for me to know which keywords are converts.
2.And it will always shows the cost and the profits are the same: eg. cost:$(0.55) profit:$(0.55)
I just thought that tracking202 can't even done a simple job properly. Regardless many features, this is the most cruicial feature that needs to be working, but it fails. Not sure if everyone was experiencing the same problems. But T202 just can't get the job done.
3. I cannot even export my report unless I use open file to view it, but that will show in notepad. when I hit download, it just say internet explore cannot download this file.
Note. Everything has been followed by the video tutorials and instructions. And I thought it just need sometime to track it, but turn out to be worst.
Please answer in point form, thanks.

I assume you are talking about the searched vs bidded keyword analysis. is this correct?

Is this on Tracking202 Pro, or Tracking202 regular?

The export feature should be fixed, can you post the link that is having a trouble downloading the csv?

We put this together David, this covers some of the reasons that the conversion don't track, are you able to see if any of the issues noted in the conversion section may be why its not working?

I assume you are talking about the searched vs bidded keyword analysis. is this correct?
1. Let's say I got 100 conversion in Acai Berry Keywords, I clicked in the Acai Berry Keywords to see what people search for acai berry keywords to converts, but the problem is when I clicked in to this 100 conversion keywords, it show which Acai Berry keywords that people are searching, but it doesn't show the conversion stats! Instead it becomes "-" means: Not Available. All the 100 conversion just went disappear.
I was like wtf...then what's the point tracking keywords? I can track that in my MSN too.
2.Quote:
2.And it will always shows the cost and the profits are the same: eg. cost:$(0.55) profit:$(0.55)
Is this on Tracking202 Pro, or Tracking202 regular?
No, I only used your paid service the Tracking202 pro, and the stats just don't make sense. cost = same number and profit = same number.
3. The only thing that I can track my conversion is to use my network sub-id, but that's very time consuming, you gotta lookup every keywords instead if T202 pro is working I can just clicked in and see which keywords bring me the conversion. But it didn't happen.
4. If I used the T202 pro pixels, that means I can track my conversion keywords ONLY in T202 account? What if I put them both in the thank you page?
Thanks very much for your review Wes.

Post subject: Re: Tracking 202 Can't Track Conversion Keywords

Ok I think I found the issue, it looks like none of your conversion tracking is working because the subids aren't recognized. I looked at one of the subid reports and it show the following for c2m:
for instance
Date C1 C2 C3 Amount
2009-05-02 00:08:50 r********l usa top6803644 33.00
2009-05-02 04:44:56 r********l usa top6809326 33.00
2009-05-02 07:24:44 r********l usa top6810822 33.00
i blanked out some of the information
but it looks like there is a C1, C2, and C3 subid being passed.
Tracking202 Pro by default looks for the C1 variable on hitpath.
So if we can get the last column "top6810822" subid, over to the c1 spot instead it'll start to work with one last tweek.
It looks like too the t202pro subids all have something like "top6810822"
with the topXXXXXXX, with the top being there it is messing it up
T202pro is looking for the numeric value.
Ideally the subid report should look something like this:
Date C1 C2 C3 Amount
2009-05-02 00:08:50 6803644 usa r********l 33.00
2009-05-02 04:44:56 6809326 usa r********l 33.00
2009-05-02 07:24:44 6810822 usa r********l 33.00
with the first value being numeric.
So basically the SUBIDS are coming in, but they are in the wrong column, and there is extra text being added to them messing it up. Once this is fixed it should start to work.
-----
Now it also looks like some subids came in like this: "canada6825879" with canada being added tot he front, those will mess up the subids as well. It should only be the numeric value.
-----
Then we can also fix all of your past conversions now if we are to reupload them, in the MANUAL SUBID UPLOAD REPORT, and you'll want to update a massive csv with them all and strip all of the extra stuff leaving only the numbers, once those are re-uploaded with the correct subid format, it should now update all of your past click data and we are now tracking!
thanks for bearing with us on this one david, I think we got the issue jamed out. Let me know if that all makes sense! and lets see if it starts working from here on out!

Thanks Wes,
Yes, that's what I want to fix the tracking issues! The export feature has been fixed.
And so it doesnt matter the sub-id is, if it's like
C1 C2 C3
usa acai 1234567
As long as it is numberic number, then it should track properly?
Or
The numeric numbers always goes to the C1, instead of C2 and C3?
And the problem is...
How to let the numeric numbers correctly inserted in to the C1?
If I leave my C1 blank, the numeric number would not show up, it will show in other C2 and C3 colum with alphabetic words in it.
Any ways to fix that?
Thanks for your review.

You have the right idea, yes the subid should be the numeric number only! but we are looking by default in the C1 column, so if we can put the t202proSubid in the C1 column as a numeric value we are good to go

Should just be able to adjust your php redirect codes so it redirects to the correct link. here would be an example eadvertising link for example:
|
Quote:
|
|
<? header('location: http://affiliate.eadvtracker.com/rd/r.php?affid=401605&sid=617&c1='.$_COOKIE['t202proSubid'].'&c2=xx&c3=xx'); ?>
|
Notice how I've appended the t202pro subid into the C1 column, and then you can set C2 and C3 to whatever you may like.

I think I kinda get it, because when I use C2M link generator, it can generate C1,C2, and C3 sub-id for me, so that means I don't use their sub-id generation instead I leave it blank then I do it manually insert the sub-id myself?
The reason that I use their sub-id generation cuz I feel safer that my commission is tracked correctly since I don't to do the manual and lost my commission.
Thanks.

by the way,
if I leave the C1 numeric numbers the affiliate becomes malfunction, I haven't use the method that yoh should me but I was wondering if that may happen with your method,
because when I see the numberic number in C1, the affiliate link will says link unavailable.
can you explain that?
Thanks.

Sure yes, if you just manually generate the link and then set it up as noted here: https://dashboard.tracking202.com/tracking202pro/lp-setup/ that'd be easier, not sure what is involved in the link-generator, but as long as it redirects and tracks the conversions it should be ok.

that's my pure affiliate link, but once I paste the raw link in PHP redirect, it will automatically insert numeric numbers in C1, and the link just become malfunction, it will say link unavailable.
but it's only happen if you click on the PHP link tho.

Thanks Wes,
It looks like I'm gonna upload a monthly sub-id report to my T202 Pro.
Do I need to upload my click to offer sub-id report also? Like match with the Conversion sub-ids. Since my id code are like Top123445 so I have to manually delete them.
And when is the time to upload your sub-ids? since you said if the numeric numbers that are generate correctly that means it will show on your T202 account.
For the link not working..
<? header("location: http://affiliate.c2mclicks.com/rd/r.php?sid=344&pub=514819&c1=&c2=usa&c3=top" . $_COOKIE['t202proSubid']); ?>
If I leave the C1 blank for T202 numeric numbers, the affiliate link will show up errors.
Unless I don't track where the traffic is come from, like country, banner, top or bottom.
Thanks.

Yes you'll only want to upload the CONVERTED NUMERIC SUBIDS, so yes you'll want to remove all of the Top, stuff in it.
Here is the fix here, this will fix it for you, setup your redirect like this, looks like were not currently using the c1 column for the subids, use this code, I tested it and it works just fine
<? header("location: http://affiliate.c2mclicks.com/rd/r.php?sid=344&pub=514819&c1={$_COOKIE['t202proSubid']}&c2=usa&c3=top"); ?>
|
Quote:
|
|

|
If you use the above link, and we can get the "correct t202pro subid", just appearing in the c1= column correctly, our system can then automatically pickup your subids and do it the work for you.
But to answer your question, you can technically upload your subids whenever you want, most people upload them when they want to start analyzing their stats.

<? header("location: http://affiliate.c2mclicks.com/rd/r.php?sid=344&pub=514819&c1=&c2=usa&c3=top" . $_COOKIE['t202proSubid']); ?>

Lets replace it with this:
<? header("location: http://affiliate.c2mclicks.com/rd/r.php?sid=344&pub=514819&c1={$_COOKIE['t202proSubid']}&c2=usa&c3=top"); ?>
And use the c1= column, for the tracking202 pro subid.
You can leave c2 for USA, and c3 for top.
But now c1 will be the dedicated tracking202 pro subid column (which when our bot goes to download your subids, it will grab for the c1 column)
With this new code setup like this, it should start to work correctly, and start scraping the subids automatically

The C1 still not tracking, C2 and C3 were tracked for my sub-id, but not the C1 numeric value.
I copied your suggestion still didn't seem to work.

Can you check to see if the cookie is set? Open up your browser, view the cookies and see if a t202proSubid cookie value is set on the domain name this redirect code is hosted on

I'm not sure what you talking about the cookies, I have clear all my temporary files and cookies just wanna make sure it's clean and clear.
But I found out that this way work:
<? header("location: http://affiliate.c2mclicks.com/rd/r.php?sid=344&pub=514819&c1=msnbc&c2=content&c3=" . $_COOKIE['t202proSubid']); ?>
the numeric values goes to the C3 column, but I'd rather to let it stay to the C1, but it just seems C1 just can't have the numeric values.
Thanks.
