costs can change based on AdGroups?

For example, a lot of people have mentioned the whole 1 keyword per AdGroup strategy, and the general answer has been that setting up campaigns in that way would result in higher API fees.

I was under the impression we were charged for API fees because each time a request was made for information, it was considered a fee...

So what is the different between having 200 keywords in 200 seperate AdGroups, and having 10 keywords in 20 AdGroups?

Would that not result in still 200 requests for information? (current bid price, clicks, etc.)

Are the API fees charged on the # of AdGroups we have then?

Because then in theory we could put 1000s of keywords in 1 AdGroup and pay the same amount as 10 keywords in one AdGroup?

I'm just confused on this aspect, since I'd rather do 1 keyword / AdGroup for tighter theming and increased CTR...

Thoughts? Anyone know?
