Hi Folks,

I have spent hours and hours trying to get this all set up and ready for launching a campaign.

Here is what I have done;

I installed Prosper202 on my Hostgator account. This required a different install file, that I found online. The install worked without any significant issues. I did have a challenge with the API Keys, but solved that here,

http://prosper.tracking202.com/forum/17/36/offers202-not-working-in-p202

I have entered my PPC account, my affiliate network, my campaign, my landing page code, etc into Prosper.

I am using a Wordpress site as my LP. ANyone using WP for tracking setup has probably had challenges. None the less, through much research here and online, I think I have everything set up properly. Codes in the right places, etc.

And in fact when I click the php redirect file that I created (from script provided by Prosper202) and then go into my Prosper install, everything is tracking and showing up perfectly.

The problem is the final redirect......I can see the address bounce around, but instead of ending up at my affiliate offer, I end up at the login screen for my install of Prosper. I used the firefox plugin, Live Http and can see the steps the link goes through. I can even see my affiliate link, however, not as I entered it, rather it is messed up. I have tried simple LP, Advanced LP. I installed plugins and am even running affiliate theme (which is supposed to be easier and I have already watched the video made for this). I don't think the problem is my LP. I think my install of Prosper202 is not completing the redirect, but for the life of me I can't figure out why.

Has anyone else had this type of issue? Has anyone solved it?

Any help would really be appreciated!

I got a message from Alex regarding this problem.

The solution was surprisingly easy considering the time I put into it.

"Go to your host, hostgator, I believe the have online support, all you have to do is tell them to turn off mod_security and your redirect should work fine."

I used the online chat support and in about 10 minutes, my redirect was working and tracking is also working!

Thanks Alex!

I encourage everyone to SEARCH for their solution first, like stated in the big dark red area above every page on this forum. It really works!

In this situation, I would choose to look for: Redirects to my login. which shows several threads with the same question/problem.

One such thread has the answer as the very last post by Aaron!

You have to turn off mod_security to fix that issue.

I had the same problem as quite a few here did as well, and what a coincidence it seems we all have hostgator lol. I just got off the chat line with the hostgator guy and told him about having to turn off that(mod_security) thing I read here.

Well he said he did that and still nothing...it continued to redirect to my prosper login page.

Now I'm like WTF! I gotta have this working tonite!

The guy tried a few more things and it still kept coming back to the prosper login page. He finally had me try it one more time...and BINGO! now works as it should.

I asked him what it was that he last did to get it working and he said he(whitelisted the rule it was hitting manually). Whatever that means...hahahahaha

So if anyone else has a similar problem and the guy says that he did turn off (mod_security) the problem must be on your end, let them know about whitelisting the rule manually. Anyone reading this I highly recommend any host other than hostgator,

I plan on moving to a vps or dedicated after x-mas.

Ohhhh man what a pain in the ass....lol but atleast the guys at hostgator are pretty good with customer service, I guess it could've been alot worse if I had gotten a lazy guy who didn't wanna dig around, I be pretty screwed right about now wouldn't I...lol

Merry X-Mas Everyone,

BillyMac

ROCK On Billy. Solved my problem dude. Thanks. Had to whitelist it he said. Would be really cool if there was some sort of appendage to the propser 202 manual stating how to get around these little things.

Or even reference your post. Seems like a lot of folks use Hostgator for hosting this.
