Wanted to know if I can track Content Network sites using Prosper202.

Say there are 500 sites, I'd like to know which work, and which do not. Also, not only for Google, but Media Buys as well.

Is there a way?

Especially since the platform is designed for Keywords...

Thanks

Use this {placement} in place of {keyword}. It might work, you might want to test it first.

Aaron,

Maybe because it's late and I'm tired so I'm sure this is a dumb question but when you say:

"Use this {placement} in place of {keyword}."

how do you know what site the ad will run on in the Content Network? Or do I simply place the {placement} at the end of my 202 tracking code? Thanks!

You place it at the end of your Prosper202 destination URL. (Step 7)

Aaron,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to be dense about this but I'm not sure I'm following. Let me re-phrase my question to make sure I'm 100% sure I understand.

If I currently have the following Tracking redirect:

http://www.mysite.com/?t202id=*&%$#%&t202kw=red shoes

Should I replace for the content network:

http://www.mysite.com/?t202id=*&%$#%&t202kw=placement

where 'placement' is now replaced my actual KW? Thanks again for your help!

Steve

If you where doing standard search this would be wrong.

kw=red shoes <-- you don't put in your own keywords. To track keywords properly you have to have the right keyword syntax at the end. The correct syntax is this--> kw={keyword}

Don't type your own keywords in the brackets. Keep the word keyword in the brackets.

Now to get placement to work okay, yes you would place placement in front of kw=, but you need to have the brackets too.

Example: {placement}

If I do that, what will it show in my keyword stats? I'm asking because content network is based on adgroup tracking unlike search network which is individual keyword tracking.

http://www.mysite.com/?t202id=*&%$#%&t202kw=Adgroup_Name

If I replace {keyword} or {placement} with the name of my adgroup, will that work? Will Adgroup_Name be shown in my stats?

Thanks.
