I have a theory that the added latency P202-generated affiliate links may be cause a drop off in conversions. I was thinking of just using P202 tracking links in my PPC campaigns, and then using my own meta refresh .php's for my affiliate links.

Anyone out there tried this? Pros / cons?

The big con I can see is my links are no longer cloaked. I'm kind of afraid to test my theory because of this.

Maybe the solutions is to just switch to the hosted T202 instead of the self-hosted P202. Everyone keeps telling me that P202 is way better though :)

Thoughts?

In theory that sounds good.

The LP Javascript tracks the hits, and looks for the t202kw token in the URL.

For the outbound link, are you suggesting to not use the redirect.php file that gets generated? You can use the outbound link directly in the anchor, but the user would see your 202 link in the status bar.

If you wish to use meta refresh, you would still need to use a redirect.php file, no? Please explain.
