This is the email I received back from aWeber. I don't really understand it completely and it doesn't sound like it can pass the sub-id variable into the actual follow up email. Only into the form box so I can know what keyword delivered the lead... Anyone come to the same conclusion after reading this?
You would be able to accomplish this by assigning an add tracking value to the form that the leads are signing up from.
Via Web Form
Ad tracking in the web form can also be extremely useful.
For example, we are currently using it on the new web design to determine which spot on the website generates the most responses. The tracking can be added by including the following line in the HTML for the webform:
<input type="hidden" name="aweber_adtracking" value="adcategory">
Just replace the "adcategory" value with the category you wish to use for the ad.
Viewing the Results
The categories for your leads can be viewed individually on the "Manage Leads" page by viewing your leads.
You can also see a graphical overview on the "Lead Statistics" page. It is the graph with the heading "Lead Category".
Being that the add tracking is collected from the form,you could then have your web designer obtain this information from the page that the form is submitted on. He would be able to make edits to html for this page to gather that information.
