Should landing pages be converted to php to have all the tracking done properly?

If the answer is yes, can you advise an easy way to convert from html to php?

Thank you.

Assuming your server has PHP installed...just change the .html extension to .php. Voila.

prosperaff,

The short answer is NO. However, it is the most easy solution for maximum compatibility across hosts. PHP is really HTML with one difference: server-side commands. If you have no "commands" then it makes no difference to the browser -- it only sees HTML anyhow.

.

It is very very easy to convert a page from HTML to PHP. All you have to do is just change the extention from dot html to dot php. (.html to .php) [assuming your host can handle php]
