I have the latest prosper install on a dedicated server with MySQL 5.0 Community. I would like to upgrade to MySQL 5.1 however my host is saying I will be unable to revert back once this is completed.

Will this affect my existing database or Prosper installation?

What you will have to do is install a new database and transfer your data over. But it should not be an issue.
