Ok, I don't remember exactly where I read this from (so many pages, so many words, so many codes....AAAAARGH), but one of them had a person stating that they got the tracking to work on their Wordpress landing page in Simple Landing Page format.
So following that, this is what I have done and the results I've received so far:
1. I disabled WYSIWYG editor mode in Wordpress.
2. I installed and activated PHP and JAVA code plug-in stuff in Wordpress.
3. I went through all the steps in Tracking202 for setting up a Simple Landing Page and text ad.
4. I inserted the Simple Landing Page text ad in my PPC text ad with the "={keyword}" at the end to track the keywords.
5. Inserted the outbound link from Tracking202's Simple Landing Page to my landing page as the outbound link.
6. Inserted the JAVA code at the bottom of my post (as I recalled the person that I mentioned at the top, who had the Wordpress and Tracking202 working well together to track each keyword).
7. I didn't use the PHP provided from the Tracking202 page (again, as I recalled from the person's post).
When I copy and paste the text ad code into my browser as a test with "={keywordtest}" and hit enter, I am led to my landing page and I can see the SubID still attached at the end.
So far, so good.
I click on the outbound link from my landing page and am led to the merchant page. Good.
I check my stats on Tracking202 and can see that the {keywordtest} is registered on the system; I think this means that the JAVA code is working. Good.
HOWEVER, when I check on my CPA network for SubIDs, nothing shows up. NOT good.
I am totally lost.
I have come a long way, again only by my own LOW standards, but I am again stomped. I have checked other posts, and read through that NickyCakes post, but I'm totally lost when he starts talking about editing PHP stuff.
Is there an easy way to setup a Simple Landing Page tracking with Wordpress at all?
Or if not -and I'm bent on getting tracking setup without having to do all that techie coding stuff- is there another platform I should be using instead of the Wordpress?
Thanks to everyone and anyone who can offer their advice.
