Post subject: Subids -- confusing me
|
|
OK -- I watched the vids and read through the instructions, but I still have a question:
You say to create subids on the affiliate network, but then you also say to create the subids on Tracking202 as part of setting up a direct linking text ad. Do I set up subids in both places? Or just on one place?
So is it:
1) Generate link on Affiliate network > append subid to affiliate URL > setup on Tracking202 using Afilliate links with subid
OR
2) Generate link on Affiliate network > setup on Tracking202 using Afilliate links > add subids with Tracking 202
And where does the "import Affiliate Network subids" come into play?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying to get a handle on this and the role the Aff. Networks and 202 each play in using subids seems contradictory.

OK, I believe you can only append subids via the affiliate network and not Tracking202. Learning little by little.
Another question: how long do clicks take to show up? I have created a tracking link in 202, confirmed it works, but the clicks are still not registering in tracking. Any thoughts?

Is this Tracking202 or Tracking202 Pro?

I just realized after configuring the tracking urls according to the instructional videos, that I still did not have a subid variable in place to track my kw and url clicks and conversions!
Question: Do I need go to the affiliate network and configure, for example: affiliateoff.com/&subid1= (or whatever the subid config is for that network) and then put THAT url in to Tracking 202?
I thank you in advance for clarification on this issue. Maybe it could be added to the training video and docs as well.

Hi estiallina,
You do not need to go to your affiliate network and configure a url.
The way the software works is that using the js code and the redirect link you will be appending subids to your affiliate url. Your network will pickup these subids and the will be recorded as a conversion or as traffic.
So you should be good to go as long as you setup correctly.
Hope that answers your question!
Alex

hi purechats,
yes you can use tracking, instead of subids you would be tracking your conversion through a unique tracking pixel associated with your account.
Thanks,
Alex

Might be a dumb question:
when setting up your affiliate link for the redirect page do I need to {keyword} - (7Bkeyword7D for azoogle)
For example: http://x.azjmp.com/3Njld?sub=7Bkeyword7D
or do I just use - http://x.azjmp.com/3Njld?sub=

No you don't need to add the keyword syntax, using the js code with subid tracking allows the keyword to be tracked without the kw syntax.
Thank for the post,
