The folks at Media Traffic say a lot of affiliates are having success with Prosper202, so any feedback on how-to would be greatly appreciated. (I'm not sure of the difference between Tracking202 and Prosper202 -- which one should I use?)

The MAIN Question: Can Prosper202 or Tracking202 track sales on Media Traffic coming from a pop-up creative, NOT from keywords, but only from URLs I am targeting?

4 phases to this sale process using pop-up creatives with Media Traffic.

1. The targeted url where the creative pops up (or under)

2. Click thru the pop up and go to the Landing Page

3. Landing Page to the Offer page

4. Sale from the Offer page

The main thing to track is where the sales are coming from - which URLs.

It could be interesting to track all 4 phases. Is that possible too?

Thanks much!

Hi Billarbo,

The difference between tracking202 and prosper is simple. Tracking202 is hosted on our servers, and Prosper202 is a self hosted option.

Our system is not intended to track pop unders and overs but there is a work around that you might find helpful.

On Step#5 Text ads, what you will do is create a generic text ad titled pop under1 fill in the ad fields describing that pop under or just generic information and under display url just type something like www.popunder1.com

Now when you go to step #7 you can create unique destination urls for each pop under ad you have setup. Then place these destination urls with the corresponding pop unders.

The landing page setup will remain the same with your javascript code place above the closing body tag. Your offers should be directed through the re-directs, and you will be golden.

To view the data just go to Analyze>>Textads and your data will be there in text form as popunder1, popunder2 and so on.

Hope that helps,

ALex

Hi Alex - have a few further questions...

"On Step#5 Text ads, what you will do is create a generic text ad titled pop

under1 fill in the ad fields describing that pop under or just generic information

and under display url just type something like www.popunder1.com"

>> from Various targeted urls, I will be using ONE pop-under going to ONE LP which has multiple (2) offers. So, I created the "Advanced Landing Page" with multiple offers. Going from what you say above, I would create two "text ads" for the two offers. Right? However, when I get to step #7, I have to chose between Text Ad or Advanced Landing Page.

It seems that I would want the new destination url just for the landing page, but when I choose that, I can't do anything with the input from step #5.

Please help. Thank you!

Hi Alex,

Another question... how do I keep track of the bids on the urls with T202? In Media Traffic, each url will have a different bid for the pop-under. It looks like T202 only accounts for one bid price. Does this mean that I need to input new information for each url in Step #7?

Thanks for your help on this! I hope there's a way to use T202 for this project.
