So I don't track any affiliate products or campaigns. I do lead generation for my own professional services company. Basic setup is:
1. Google Adwords Ad to my own custom landing page.
2. Landing page is a basic squeeze page.
3. They are then forwarded onto more information if they opt in.
I set up my tracking 202 so that my landing page was the {affiliate url} in a basic direct linking setup.
Now all of my google adwords ad have my tracking 202 link as the desination url. The only problem is that I continue to get clicks and conversions are tracked in my adwords account but my tracking 202 account shows that I am getting no clicks.
If I put the tracking 202 url in a browser directly then I am redirected properly to the landing page I set up, and it shows that as a visitor in tracking 202.
The main reason I am using tracking 202 at this time is because I want to have real time information about where my ads are getting clicked on from the google content network so I can hone which sites I can target directly.
Can anyone offer any insight into what could be happening?
