Tracking202 Pro Private Beta Applications

Tracking202 Pro is currently taking applications for private beta testers. During private beta, use of Tracking202 Pro is free EXCEPT for API charges. You will be fully responsible for any and all API charges as the search engine charges us for this and as such, we will not waive this. But all other fees will be waived during beta. Please be aware that after beta is over, we will be charging for this service. This will officially be the first paid service 202 will have.

Please be aware this is a hosted application and there are currently no plans for a self-hosted Prosper202 Pro at this point in time. One thing I like to note however that redirections are not done through our servers so you will not have to worry about the server crashing and your campaigns losing money should you wish to check this out.

If you are interested in becoming a private beta tester for Tracking202 Pro, please send in the following information below for consideration. We will begin private beta testing announcement as early as Wednesday and through next week. We are looking for only around 100 beta testers so if you're interested, apply early.

The application requirements includes the following:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Company
  • E-Mail
  • Full Address
  • Phone Number
  • Current 202 Username
  • Current Actual Monthly Ad Spend
  • How long have you been doing affiliate marketing?
  • Brief explanation of your background including affiliate marketing related background
  • How long have you been ACTIVELY using Tracking202 or Prosper202?
  • Blog URL
  • Company URL
  • Why should you be chosen as a private beta tester? Be specific
  • Which affiliate networks are you currently promoting

ALL fields are required. If the field do not apply to you, please indicate so. Do not just omit the field. Please send all of this info to steven@tracking202.com. We will contact you via email regarding your application if we have any questions. If you have been approved, you will notified via email as well.

Please note that due to lack of staff and high increase of support as well as several applicants applying, it make take awhile for me to get back to everyone that apply. Sorry for the delay and thank you for your understanding

Wes I can't believe no self hosted version will be available. That sucks man.

  2. Kyle Irwin on Dec 16, 2008 at 4:39pm

Paid means it can't be self-hosted because it would just be pirated, duh. Good job guys, it's about time you charge. I hope you do away w/ the free versions too... everybody doesn't deserve that level of tracking. All these tards are driving up click prices. Good luck!

    @Self Hosting Gimp

Yeah sorry, as Kyle pointed out, we wouldn't be able to continue charging for the service if people pirate the software, unencrypt it, etc...

For us, this is our business. It always have been throughout the last 1.5 years. We resolved the redirect issue so that if the servers were to go down, your commissions won't be affected. We've more than proven that we don't care about the data. I'm not sure what else may want to make users want to use the self-hosted but we can only do so much.

It's a lot like asking Google to stop charging monthly for DoubleClick Dart and just give a self-hosted. The business model doesn't make sense and we've already made it ultra cheap compare to every known competitor out there by a lot. We would be at a significant loss otherwise. We're just trying to continue building out this company like we've always set out to build and as usual, we're always trying to make it fair and helpful for the community. I just hope everyone understands where we are coming from.

@ Self-Hosting-Gimp, the best thing I can say is we will still continue developing Prosper202 self-hosted apps! And the pro version once we release it you'll see the power of it and why it is extremely difficult for us to do a self-hosted, if we could in all honestly do it 100% securely and safe from exploitation we absolutely would!

I saw the beta version it is great. You guys did a awesome job.A Best tool I have seen in the recent days. But I am really disappointed to see there is no download version avilable. I dont know this will be a big help to me.They way I look at this, You can say You guys wont steal my data but In a company where people are making may be 50k to 80k per year If they see potential to make millions of dollars what they would do. Sorry my friend If I offended you It is the way the world works. Please consider selling the product may be $500 to $2000 based on its worth.

    Hi M3me,

Unfortunately we can't do that. For us, this is our business. If the source code leaks out (even if you encrypt it, it can be unencrypt), the business would be gone. I respect your reason, but for us this is our life business and we don't have any intention of running campaigns. If you do not wish to use it, I wish you the best. We've been around for a very long time and have no abuse this fact. There are users on regular Tracking202. However I do understand your concerns. At this time, we are unable to do so however.

Maybe you guys could come up with an encryption method based on a key, where although the application is hosted by you, the data is encrypted (kws, LP, conversions, # of clicks...) and it is only decrypted by a key that the user has on his end. Nobody but the user can decrypt the data. You run the engine, we get the data in clear mode.

I am no techy, so maybe I haven't used the right words to describe it.

  8. Steven on Feb 03, 2009 at 8:53pm

    Hi Florian,

Sorry but that won't work. The last software we released was de-encrypted within the very first day. Any software that is encrypted can be more prone to de-encryption plus we wouldn't be able to charge a monthly rate for it in the same manner.

Can't wait to get started with this once it's released! I also fully trust the Tracking202 guys and fully understand their reasoning for not releasing this as a self-hosted app.

    You guys rock!

  11. Thatcher Michelsen on Feb 09, 2009 at 5:04pm

The 202 guys rock plain and simple. Keep up the great work and good luck with this pro version. I am just starting to use the prosper202 and it looks fantastic.

    Thanks again!

    Guys,

Great tool. Our affiliates that use it rave about your service and we have heard nothing negative about it. Keep up the great work and we at Advaliant would love to see you guys continue your growth!!

  13. Jivan Manhas on Feb 10, 2009 at 9:01am

Hah..see what happens when you miss your first coffee of the morning...I meant to say nothing but positive things about your service. Now keep me in your good books!!

  14. Jonathan Radande on Feb 11, 2009 at 9:23pm

Keep doing what you do guys. It's about time you start making some $$$ from all the hard work you've been doing for the affiliate community. I will definitely try this out.

  15. xentech on Feb 17, 2009 at 5:04am

I completely support you not giving a downloadable version. You have a free downloadable version but if you want the premium you have to pay, and I guarantee with software as good as this it will be all over the net.

These people have to make money, it's the bottom line! And a monthly rate for a premium service would be the best business model for this particular product.
