Starting A MeetUp202 Group

If you are interested in starting up a local affiliate meetup group or get together in your area, and would like us to help spread the word by blogging about it, you're more than welcome to. The only requirement we ask is that it must be officially titled as a MeetUp202 group and you must use the MeetUp202 logo. Currently there are two official MeetUp202 groups:


Bay Area, CA

and


Seattle, WA

These are the only two MeetUp202 meetings where official 202 members will be attending. However we plan on expanding MeetUp202 all over the globe! This is where you come in. You can start your own MeetUp202 group today!

What Is MeetUp202

MeetUp202 is the place to meet other internet marketers, entrepreneurs, and especially affiliates in your area. A place where you can share tips and ideas, and network and associate with others in the industry face-to-face. It is often said that success and the true value to succeeding is all in the networking, and this is the main reason why so many other successful entrepreneurs out there attend large social events and conferences such as Affiliate Summit. Why not do it where you live!

Meet with new and veteran Super Affiliates from your local area to discuss, share, motivate, and inspire for success. Everything is open for discussion, from PPC strategies, to SEO, Web 2.0 marketing tactics, and much more! The choice is up to you! These are casual meet ups. The goal is to gather a group of like-minded individuals together to collaborate, network, and essentially have a fun time while making new friends!

How We Can Help

You can look at the current MeetUp202 groups and see how we operate ours to get ideas on how you should start yours. Essentially we hope to expand all over the world and get affiliates together to start building mastermind groups where they can help each other take their business to the next level. Our MeetUp202 group meetings have been great and it'll only get better. I certainly hope you guys find the same success if you choose to create one of your own.

To help you guys spread the word, we'll gladly blog post it once you have the group set up and we've review over it to ensure everything looks great. We'll try to give it as much exposure as possible to help you guys find like-minded individuals in your area. Currently, if you've noticed, we're setting up the groups through meetup.com. Eventually we'll have it set up in a way where you can go directly through MeetUp202.com. However in the meantime, while we're still expanding and growing, we'll be using meetup.com as a way to help us get the word out to other affiliates.

To see how many 202 users are currently in your area, you can check the Prosper202 Network location list. This is a new list we started roughly about a week or so ago so it's not completely updated. Users who haven't logged in recently, opt in their selection, or haven't downloaded the new version of Prosper202 will not show up on this list (which is a large number right now). Eventually the list will expand and grow as time passes.

MeetUp202 Singapore

To get the ball rolling, the very first MeetUp202 group started by one of our users is MeetUp202 Singapore. This group is ran and operated by Melvin. Melvin would love to meet with other affiliates near where he lives, particular affiliates from Singapore and Malaysia since they're close by. I know we have some users from both countries so if you guys are interested in getting together, feel free to contact Melvin, either by sending him a PM or emailing him directly at cpamelvin@gmail.com.

We typically have meetings once a month but you guys can set up yours however you like. I am unsure how often Melvin plans on having his meetings so you can contact him to find out more details as well. I believe his first meetup is at a place that serves wine and there may be a required drink purchase of roughly around $5 for being in the restaurant or wherever he is holding his meetup. You can contact Melvin directly for more info regarding this. Either way, I highly recommend meeting with other affiliates because the best way to learn sometimes is truly to interact with others.
